Description
An original work of art by Sherril B. Porter. A beautiful depiction of Steinaker Reservoir looking south towards the Ashley Valley, Vernal, Utah. Location is just off Hwy 191 towards Flaming Gorge. This is the beginning of the "Drive through the Ages" scenic highway. A geologic wonderland as the highway ascends though the various geological ages to the Uintah Mountains. The reservoir is low at this time which exposes the island and land bridge to it.
This scene is very interesting because of the variety of color and values with the effects of the light that interplay into a magnificent scene.
