Artist's Description

An original work of art by Sherril B. Porter. A depiction of gladiolas in bloom in my backyard. Flowers are so delicate and only last for such a short time, but they are essential to the survival of the species.

They are a lovely pink color with yellow. The background is a beige fence. Also shown is the foliage of long green leaves and stalks. In the upper right corner are a partially open buds and a closed bud. These flowers are clustered together and difficult to distinguish one from another. This would make a beautiful flower bouquet.

Flowers are difficult for me to paint and be able to gain the full essence of their beauty. But I try. They are of the beauty of the earth.
