An original work of art by Sherril B. Porter. A depiction of a scene at Bonanza, Utah at the American Gilsonite facility. Bonanza is located about 35 miles south east of Vernal, Utah. This area has very cold and snowy winters resulting in heavy hoarfrost on the trees and bushes. It makes for a magnificent winter wonderland.
This scene contrasts the red stained fence and black roadway and fence with the white frost and snow and the light blue clear sky.
This snowscape makes for a beautiful winter scene in all its bone chilling awe.
aka Sher'L I was born an Artist. It was in my genes. I am the Son of Elbert H. Porter, famous dinosaur sculptor. I studied art in high school and minored in art in college. For a short time I owned a sign shop. My profession is Lab. Tech. at industrial facilities. Now that I am retired, I plan on doing my passion which is Art and in particular, Oil Painting. Presently my interests are painting wildlife, landscapes, still life, etc.
