An original work of art by Sherril B. Porter. A depiction of a night scene with a waterfall in the midground. The foreground is of a rippling stream flowing towards the viewer. The Sky is dark with billowing clouds. It appears as a bright moonlit night.
This is done on a black canvas with transparent colors and opaque white paint. The black canvas brings out the colors vividly. The water has a felling of motion with all the action in the ripples and appears as rapids. The clouds add to the motion with the feeling ow movement. The banks are surrounded with all manner of vegetation. This scene is Bob Ross style and from the artist imagination.
About Sherril Porter
aka Sher'L I was born an Artist. It was in my genes. I am the Son of Elbert H. Porter, famous dinosaur sculptor. I studied art in high school and minored in art in college. For a short time I owned a sign shop. My profession is Lab. Tech. at industrial facilities. Now that I am retired, I plan on doing my passion which is Art and in particular, Oil Painting. Presently my interests are painting wildlife, landscapes, still life, etc.
